Paintings by Dougal M Haggart
Tuesday Nov. 01 to
Wednesday Nov. 30, 2016
Toronto offers a festival of sights and stories for a visual artist willing to search them out and have a great time painting what she sees. I scout for subjects with camera, sketchbook, and paints in my bicycle basket. If the view is intriguing, I may begin painting “en plein air”; often I just sketch, and paint from that later. To me, a figure is given meaning by its setting and a place by its inhabitants. And I add my own filter as I make the image. Hope you can drop in to see the show!
The library is located on the northwest corner of Lawrence Ave. East and Donway West.
